Please note:
  • The LPG Vehicle Scheme Application Form has been updated recently in July 2012. To apply, please use the latest form version available at the bottom of this page.
  • Since 1 July 2011 the LPG Vehicle Scheme has been capped at 25,000 eligible claims paid in a year (1 July to 30 June) for the duration of the scheme.
  • Customers may only be eligible for one grant every three or more years. For more information, read LPG Vehicle Scheme – Claiming a Second Grant.

Before applying, please read the LPG Vehicle Scheme Customer Guidelines and LPG Vehicle Scheme Frequently Asked Questions.

Application Forms, along with certified copies of supporting documents, should be lodged in person at your local Service Centre delivering Centrelink and/or Medicare services, or posted to:

For completed applications lodged over the counter at your local Service Centre delivering Centrelink and/or Medicare Services, your supporting documents will be copied and certified and the originals returned to you.

For postal applications, please DO NOT provide original supporting documents. Certified copies of supporting documents must be provided. Refer to the Customer Guidelines for who can certify.

Applicants must ensure that the postal applications are received by the LPG Claim Processing Unit within 12 months from the date of the LPG conversion or new LPG vehicle purchase.

Lodging your application DOES NOT automatically entitle you to receive a grant.
