Assistance is available in the areas of:
· Business planning advice
· Advice on loans and banking products including preparing for and seeking access to credit through financial service providers
· Development of simple marketing plans
· Assistance accessing legal and accounting services
· Leasing guidance
· Advice on government regulation or mentoring for business.
Services available to small businesses are:
· Mentoring for Business: The staff or consultants of the Service Provider will provide advisory service meetings and networking opportunities for your small business.
· Business Planning Advice: The staff or consultants of the Service Provider will provide a diagnostic assessment of your individual small business, followed by better business planning advice that meets the needs of your business.
The Service Provider will assist your small business with networking opportunities, writing better business plans, assessing and improving supply-chain management, e-commerce take-up, information technology and broadband, succession planning, and creating security for the business over leased premises or intellectual property.
· Loans and banking products: The staff or consultants of the Service Provider will provide independent information and guidance on available banking and finance products for your small or micro-business.
· Simple Marketing Plans: The staff or consultants of the Service Provider will prepare simple marketing plans for your small business on promotional opportunities and advertising options in your local area.
· Legal and Accounting Services: The Service Provider will dedicate a portion of funding for:
o your small business to access legal and accounting advice; and if more applicable,
o your established home-based/micro businesses to obtain advice on issues such as retail tenancy, intellectual property and credit management.
· Leasing Guidance: The Service Provider will provide information and guidance on leasing terms and conditions during negotiations with prospective landlords.
· Government Regulation: The Service Provider will provide advice for your small business on regulatory compliance at all tiers of government.
· Staff Training Programs: When significant new regulations start, the Service Provider will develop and deliver training programs for small businesses.
· Women: The Service Provider will ensure its programs cater for the needs of women as a client group.
· National Referrals: Where your small business is looking to conduct business interstate or intrastate, the Service Provider will refer you to the most appropriate organisation for assistance. Where appropriate, for industry specific assistance, the Service Provider will refer you to another organisation that has specific expertise in that industry.
