Clothing and Household Textile Building Innovative Capability Scheme (BIC)

Status: The Clothing and Household Textile Building Innovative Capability scheme (BIC) is expected to replace the TCF Post-2005 (SIP) scheme from the 2010/2011 program year.

Description: The $112.5 million BIC is aimed at fostering the development of a sustainable and internationally competitive clothing and household textile manufacturing and design industry in Australia, by providing incentives to promote innovation and associated investment.

A consultation draft outlining the proposed legislative details of BIC has been released and we seek stakeholder views. Comments on the consultation draft of the scheme close on 26 March 2010 and should be emailed to tcfconsultation@innovation.gov.au

An invitation seeking comments and including a summary of the proposed differences between BIC compared to the last five years of the current TCF Post-2005 (SIP) scheme is also available.
