Ethanol Distribution Program (EDP)

Program Status: Program Closed.

Description:  The purpose of the Ethanol Distribution Program (EDP) was to increase the number of service stations selling 10 per cent ethanol blended petrol (E10) and increase the volume of E10 sold and encouraged the sale of E10 at a lower price than regular unleaded petrol.

The program provided grants of up to $20,000 for Australian retail service stations to reduce the cost of installing or converting infrastructure to supply E10.

a further Sales Target Grant of up to $10,000 for a retail service station that received the Infrastructure Upgrade Grant and achieved an E10 sales target within 12 months of its the upgrade completion date.
