Description: The LPG Vehicle Scheme provides grants for the LPG conversion of a registered motor vehicle or the purchase of a new vehicle fitted with LPG prior to first registration, subject to eligibility criteria.
Please note:
* A new grant amount of $1,500 applies for LPG conversions on or after 1 July 2010.
* The LPG Vehicle Scheme customer documents have been updated. Please refer to the June 2010 versions.
* Customers may only be eligible for one grant every 3 years. For more information, read LPG Vehicle Scheme - Claiming a Second Grant or contact the AusIndustry hotline on 13 28 46.

From 10 June 2009, there is a change to vehicle registration requirements for LPG conversions. A registered vehicle that has been purchased and then converted to LPG prior to registration transfer into the applicant's name may now be eligible for the grant subject to certain conditions. For more information, call the AusIndustry hotline or read the Customer Guidelines. Customers who consider that they may now meet the eligibility requirements as a result of this change can resbumit their application.
