The AusIndustry Hotline is an information and referral service for businesses and individuals. It is the initial response for all enquiries regarding AusIndustry and AusIndustry programs within the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education

Enterprise Connect provides support to Australian small and medium sized enterprises to develop the skills, tools and knowledge to improve their competitiveness and productivity and to maximise their growth potential.

For example, enquiries related to:

• Business review;
• small and medium businesses in industries as diverse as manufacturing, clean technology, resources, defence, tourism and the creative sector by providing business improvement services.

Hotline hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Allows a customer support agent to connect a customer with the correct area within the Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education.

These agents are trained across the AusIndustry, Enterprise Connect and Commercialisation Australia hotlines.  They can assist a customer to determine which area within the Department can assist them.

The Small Business Support Line provides an initial 'single' point of contact for small business owners to access information and referral services to improve their business sustainability and help better manage their business.

• Registration and licences;
• Government initiatives, grants and assistance;
• Legal, accounting and taxation services;
• Business planning and diagnostic services;
• Starting a small business;
• Home-based small business enquiries;
• Franchising
• Employing staff
• General small business support and assistance business referrals.

The Independent Contractors Hotline (ICH) is a single point of contact for accessing clear, concise information regarding your rights and responsibilities as an Independent Contractor.  ICH assists customers to establish if they are an independent contractor or an employee. Additional contractor related enquiries include non-payments, contractor dispute resolution.
