Program Status: Closed for applications.
The Insulation Industry Assistance Package (IIAP) forms part of the Australian Government’s Home Insulation Safety Plan (HISP).
The IIAP provided financial assistance for ceiling insulation businesses including manufacturers, distributors, importers and installers adversely affected by the termination of the Home Insulation Program.
The IIAP opened on 6 May 2010, and accepted applications until 4 June 2010, for claims made for eligible ceiling insulation products listed on the Home Insulation Program Approved List of Products as at 19 February 2010.
On 2 July 2010 the Program re-opened and accepted applications until 30 July 2010, limited to applications for claims made in respect of the IIAP Ministerial Guidelines Amendments No. 2 of 2010 (Supplementary Ministerial Guidelines). These Guidelines provide for Additional Eligible Categories of ceiling insulation stock. There were no changes to applicant eligibility requirements.
An IIAP assistance payment is calculated as 15% of an eligible applicant's stockholding dollar value.
